Hello! I have a question about an occupation. In the premise it says we can choose our career as "heroes, rebel as villains, or study as students at the prestigious U.A. High", but is it possible to have a job outside those that would be related? The character I'm interested in is a scientist and if possible I would like him to be a researcher/professor at a normal, regular university, assisting the police/UA/villains/whoever asks him for help.

Or actually, is there a regular university at all in this world?

Thank you!

Thank you for the answer!! I have a couple more questions: is it possible for someone who isn't a hero to be a guest teacher at UA High? Also, what exactly are the subjects taught in the school — do they only teach hero-related things, or are there also regular subjects like math, science, literature, etc?

Thank you!

Hey! So Dave here canonically time travels and I'm not sure how to best translate that into a quirk, between the general way quirks seem to work and the fact that timey shit can be hard to manage in an rp setting. I was wondering to what extent something in that vein might be allowed? I know actual time traveling is probably a stretch but maybe smaller scale stuff like localized timestops would be feasible?

It does help a bit! I might have to think on this some more, though. His role has always been very active so I'm not sure something he can't really use on the fly or incorporate into a more physical fight would suit him.

Nah, it's less an issue of the potential weakness and more that it seems like a difficult ability to directly weaponize, which is thematically his Thing. That and it feels too close to just seeing the past/future which is, thematically, kind of his sister's Thing and thus kind of weird to apply to him. But it's cool, I'll come up with something!

Okay, I've got a somewhat strange question for you mods. What is the age-range for the hero school? I've only seen clips of My Hero Academia but I am very curious about this game. This is important while I figure out which character to app.

MOD HERE. I'm too lazy to log into uastaff.

15 to 18 is the typical age range for Japan's high schools, which UA is. Midoriya and Bakugou, for example, are 14 at the beginning of the series, but 15 when they get into UA. So we can assume that's the age range.

Ah, excellent. Thanks for the info! Now the question about the au you create for this game: say that the character doesn't have an ability in their original series, like say most Pokémon characters for instance but definitely not limited to this canon... Would appers be allowed to think up an appropriate Quirk as long as it makes sort of sense?

So I was thinking of giving an ability much like Rogue of the X Men, though Remi here would have to bite people to use it. How feasible would this be?

Hi there. I have a character whose bullshit canon powers are extreme concentration (and precognition but it's unreliable and out of his control so I'm just going to disregard it for now) but he's also physically a giant weenie who has like no strength and operates what is essentially an action figure robot armed with swords and sword missiles. Would he be allowed to attend UA/do heroics using a remote controlled robot to fight for him? He doesn't make them or maintain them outside of armor repair, so he wouldn't fit in the Support classes and does need someone to help do mechanical repairs to his mechs.

I think General Studies should be fine as along as he gets surrounded by heroes. I'd rather use his canon abilities since there is another character(s) in his canon that would be better at having the robot operate via quirk. Also he abuses his powers to win nerd prizes at arcades.

So quick follow up, for this game, would it be more acceptable for him to receive a small robot (and special gear in general prior to attending) from a private developer and get it approved by government so he can bring it to class, or from someone in the Support Classes? The former is what actually happens in his canon, but the latter is fitting for UA...

The support classes are more or less still operating without a license BUT UA does have someone with a license so it's easier to give those things to students with what appears to be express permission from the teacher.

Question for clarification: What does 'extreme concentration' entail?

Basically, the brain reroutes energy to itself, heightening his senses and perception. While the ability is in use, the user perceives everything moving slower while they move in real time, but to an outsider watching, the user is reacting at superhuman speeds. It does sort of render the user immobile with exception to whatever limited movements he needs to make with his hands (ei inputting commands to a controller) , so I don't classify it as superspeed. He can't speak either because of the intense focus he's putting in whatever goal he wants to accomplish (ei win a fighting game match). It does leave the user in a state of exhaustion due to much of his energy being expended by his brain in a short amount of time.

Example of ability at 2:00.

Ahhh gotcha, gotcha. I don't see much issue then, yeah. I can see some inherent weaknesses here, too, so looks good to me!

Having only seen season 1, I don't know if this is a thing in canon, but how feasible is it for a character to feign quirklessness? I'm guessing quirks are registered at an early age, but is it possible for a character who, for example, grew up in a relatively secluded area cut off from society at large, to potentially be listed as quirkless in census data or what have you, and take advantage of that fact?

(not this character, obv, but just in general)

Sorry for the delay!

While quirks are registered, it's not as if everyone has access to that information easily. It'd be pretty easy to hide something that isn't a mutation.

Plus, some characters have missed registration all together, or their quirk doesn't manifest in an apparent way so they appear to be quirkless. All are possible.
